Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the GeniusMentor website at geniusmentor.ai and the GeniusMentor tutoring service at app.geniusmentor.ai (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Plain-language summary: Start free, no card needed. Paid plans meter learning minutes — the time the tutor is actively teaching; quizzes and your progress profile are always free. Cancel anytime. Under-18 learners need a parent or guardian to set up the account. The tutor works hard to help you understand — but no tutor, human or otherwise, can guarantee specific marks.

1. The Service

GeniusMentor is a personal tutoring service: it teaches on a live whiteboard with voice, re-teaches your doubts in your own words, checks understanding with mastery quizzes, and maintains a learning memory (your "Digital Twin"). Features, supported subjects, and classes may evolve over time.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
For learners under 18, a parent or guardian must create the account, give consent, and remains responsible for it.
You agree to provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.

3. Plans, learning minutes, and billing

Learning minutes meter the time the tutor is actively teaching — a lesson playing, or a doubt or problem being worked out. Quizzes and your progress profile do not consume minutes.
Plan prices and monthly minute allowances are shown on the pricing section. Unused minutes do not carry over unless stated otherwise. Top-ups are available.
Annual billing includes the discount shown at purchase (currently two months free).
You can cancel anytime; paid access continues to the end of the billing period already paid. There is no lock-in.
We may change prices or allowances prospectively. We will give existing subscribers reasonable notice by email before changes affect them.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Share your account or use someone else's account without permission.
Use bots, scrapers, or other automated tools to interact with the Service.
Attempt to bypass metering, rate limits, or other security measures.
Probe or stress-test the Service for vulnerabilities other than through responsible disclosure to hello@geniusmentor.ai.
Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm any person, or to cheat in supervised examinations.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section.

5. Educational disclaimer

GeniusMentor is designed to build genuine understanding, and we stand behind that design. However, learning outcomes depend on many factors outside our control — attendance, effort, exam conditions. We do not guarantee specific marks, grades, ranks, or admission outcomes.

Lessons and explanations are generated by an AI tutor. While the teaching loop is built to check and correct understanding, explanations may occasionally contain errors. If something looks wrong, use the in-product feedback or email us — we review reported errors promptly.

6. Intellectual property

The Service's design, copy, code, brand marks, lesson content, and product concepts are owned by GeniusMentor. You may not copy or reuse them without permission, except that you may share a link to the public site freely. You retain ownership of the content you submit (such as your questions); you grant us the licence needed to operate the Service, including personalising your learning.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against every possible threat.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GeniusMentor and our officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of opportunity, educational outcomes, or data — arising out of or in connection with the Service. Our aggregate liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amounts you paid us for the Service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we'll notify account holders by email before the change takes effect; continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time; we will handle your data per our Privacy Policy. We may terminate or suspend your access if you breach these Terms.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
